RSS to ePub, Mobipocket/Kindle and PDF

Feedbooks updated its RSS feature:
  • Files are generated much faster
  • Added support for ePub & Mobipocket
  • New API endpoint for developers to create applications (such as iNewsStand on the iLiad)

The sweet part is probably for Kindle owners, or people using Mobipocket files on a wireless device. You can directly update your feeds/newspapers from your device. Create your own newspaper with your daily reading, click on the update link inside the file and you get your own newspaper every morning !
Detailed instructions for the Kindle are available on this thread.

If you'd like to test this feature, you can try the output for the Mobileread RSS feed.

Thanks Hadrien! I've posted this info on the Amazon forums as well.

I'm also going to repost a small utility that we did for our old API (which is still online). We'll update the software in the upcoming weeks.

Basically, it automatically downloads your subscriptions to any UMS device as soon as you connect it. It's in C# and therefore for Windows only, but as I've said a few times, we'll provide full documentation for our new API very soon and any developer will be able to create such a software pretty easily.

This should work with: Sony PRS-505, Cybook Gen 3, Kindle, iRex iLiad etc...
Won't work with the Sony PRS-500 though, it's not UMS.

I use it everyday with my PRS-505, I just plug my device to the computer every morning and then read RSS feeds in the subway.

If you are't using the Windows forms for this and it is command line only then someone should be able to get it working for Linux/Mac via Mono.
